Description

The name itself is derived from the latin rubens, which means “red”. It has long been considered the stone of love, energy and passion. We all know red as a power color so it’s no surprise that it was once thought that doning these brightly colored gems would grant the wearer courage, confidence and invincibility.

They have also been thought to help in times of stress, overwhelm and when you feel disconnected from the world around you. Rubies are one of the four precious gemstones, sitting alongside diamond, emerald and sapphire. Even so, because rubies are so rare, they are often prized above even diamonds.
